1. Contact information

This includes your official name, your telephone number and your official email address.

Remember, if you are using an alternative number on your CV in case you are not reachable, you need to inform the owner that you have include their number on the CV to avoid confusion when recruiters call for interview arrangements.

Your email address should also remain professional avoid the use of nicknames when setting up an email address.

2. Personal profile

This is the section where you summarize your expertise, skills and experience that you possess in the customer service industry. Remember this is where you grab the recruiter’s attention thus; it should be kept short, simple and precise.

I am an experienced customer services executive with many years of invaluable experience working in the customer support department. I have the ability to ensure that customers receive an excellent level of service whilst at the same time ensuring the highest level of sales for the company to increase productivity and company profitability. 3. Education

You have all seen on different job advertisements there is always the qualification section asking for someone with particular certification so it is important to include your education background on the CV so as to provide the recruiter with the requirements they have asked for.

Remember to list your education from the most recent to the last one. Use bullets for formatting.

4. Keys skills and competencies

In this section the recruiter seeks to understand the specific skills you possess as a Customer Service professional.

5. How to write a customer service CV-Work Experience

The work experience section includes your job title, the company you have worked for, the duration and your duties and responsibilities. Just like in your education background, you should start with the most recent position to the last one.

One thing you should note though, you are not supposed to copy paste your job description but summarize and come up with short precise sentences that explains your role in the position.

  • Prepared product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information

6. Lastly on How to write a customer service CV- Your referees

Referees are supposed to be people whom you have previously worked with in a supervisory or managerial level. They are the people recruiters use to get information on your work ethics so you should be careful when choosing whom to put on your CV as your referee.

Lastly, make sure that you include their official name, their contact details which include the telephone number and their official email address. Also remember that common courtesy dictates that you should inform the individuals that you have used them on your CV as your referees.
