he is the talk of town and it would be enlightening to find out what appears on Dr. Fred Matiang’i’s CV. He has broken the chains that had bound the education system for decades and he was even named ‘Personality of the year’ by Nairobi News Newspaper.

As a nation, we can confidently say that Matiang’i is doing his job, with the many changes he has implemented in the short time he has served in the Ministry of Education.

This personality is none other than Professor Matiang’i. He has brought hope to the Education system of our country and the future generation of young ones will enjoy a stable and just Education.

You might be wondering who Dr. Matiang’i was before seating in the Education Offices of Kenya.

In his early years, Matiang’i  worked as a Primary School Teacher in Kisii and years later became a lecturer at the University of Nairobi and Egerton

4. Also holds a Masters in English from the University of Nairobi

5. Alongside that he also has a Bachelors in Education from Kenyatta University.

6. He has lectured at the University of Nairobi and Egerton University.

7. He has been a Columnist/Writer for the Daily Nation Newspaper

8. Dr. Matiangi’s has held research and program implementation positions in various civil society organizations in Kenya

9. He has conducted research and training for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Parliaments of Ethipia, Uganda and the East African Legislative Assembly.

10. Matiang’i has also worked as a consultant with USAID, World Bank, the Canadian Development Agency and 10. Transparency International.

As you can see, Dr. Fred Matiang’i has remained consistent in his profession as an Academic expert. This tells a lot about Career growth and development for anyone looking to be successful in their profession.

He is rightfully qualified for the current job he holds in the Ministry of Education as the Cabinet secretary.
