9 Things On CJ David Maraga’s CV That You Didn’t Know

Chief Justice David Maraga is the talk of the town  this weekend after he delivered a ruling nullifying the recently conducted Presidential general election, on the basis that IEBC committed various illegalities affecting integrity of polls.

There are attributes from the Chief Justice of this land that stand out and can be a food for thought for anyone in their career or a graduate who is seeking for any job.

9. In 2013, the President of Kenya named Justice Maraga as the Chair of a Tribunal which was constituted to investigate the conduct of High Court Judge Joseph Mutava after complaints emerged that the Judge had been compromised to deliver a judgment which cushioned Goldenberg suspect Kamlesh Pattni from prosecution over his involvement in the Goldenberg scandal.

He is a staunch Seventh Day Adventist. During his vetting he said that he cannot sacrifice his religious duty for office duty.

True to his word during the Presidential election petition, the proceedings began in the evening to accommodate the Chief Justice

From Maraga’s profile it can be noted that he has served in the law profession for close to 30 years before he was appointed to be a chief justice of Kenya.

As any career expert would advice you it is important to keep focused in a specific career in order to enhance growth and expertise.

Most people keep switching careers and these results to them stagnating since they do not have extensive experience in any given field.

From his Chief Justice Position interview, he was clear about his faith unlike other interviews where people work so hard to impress the panel and ultimately missing the opportunities for not being real.

Always represent the real you, you never know it might impress someone in the panel!!!
